A touch of Morocco

Moroccan interior design is a style that draws inspiration from the North African country's culture, history and landscape. It is characterised by its striking colours, intricate patterns and a mix of various textures and materials. Often, we see patterns and tiling in luxurious golds, deep purples and vibrant blues, such as Resene Gold Dust, Resene Blue Diamond and Resene Decadence.

However, if you’re opting for subtle Moroccan touches, try using ornaments, vases and other small items as your accented features, paired with neutral tones – white, beige, or grey – such as Resene Truffle, Resene Parchment or Resene Rice Cake.

When designing a tropical themed room, it's important to consider the size of the room and the amount of light it receives. The combination of these provides a sense of connection with nature and a focus to create a sense of harmony and tranquillity.
