Quilt while you’re ahead and visit the quilt exhibition

This is a stitch up! Get ready for the ultimate Quilt Symposium, held for the first time in Lower Hutt this October 4-9.

Quilters have been hard at work creating their entries for different competitions including the Resene A World of Colour Paint Chip Challenge, to create a mini quilt with two randomly assigned paint colour chips from the current Resene range.

Come along to the exhibition and awards ceremony, held on the opening day of the Symposium at the Lower Hutt Events Centre where the winning quilts from all challenges will be presented with some fantastic Resene prizes.

With multiple classes, lectures, social dinners, an overall exhibition, and some Resene goodies up for grabs, the ‘Quilting Fiesta’ is open to anyone keen to build on their skills, learn a new skill, or even just observe the creativity and colour involved.
