The Great Gumboot Paint Up kicks into gear

10 Nov 2022

Support mental health a little differently this year by bidding on gumboots with a Resene twist!

Project Hope & Beyond has teamed up with Resene, Bata Industries New Zealand, local artist Holly Bettis and John McGlashan College Dunedin to fundraise for Gumboot Friday. Students from John McGlashan College rolled their sleeves up to paint a whole lot of white Bata gumboots in Resene colours. Each pair is for sale on TradeMe, with all proceeds going towards supporting mental health services in New Zealand, and are also loaded onto The Great Gumboot Paint Up’s Givealittle page.

Project Hope & Beyond is a non-profit team of ex-Cadbury workers, who have a passion for mental health awareness. After their own struggles following redundancy in 2020, they began raising money and have raised over $27,500 so far in their work, for charities such as I Am Hope NZ and Life Matters NZ.

If you fancy yourself a pair of colourful wellys, or are just keen to support youth mental health, bid below.
