Linda sought the help of Resene Colour Expert Meryl Southey to refresh and modernise her mother’s dated unit. After a good discussion and taking into account the colour of the existing brick, which was similar to Resene Kombucha, Linda decided on Resene Wayfarer for the soffits and trims. This shade complements the brick tone, and also adds some colour to the dwelling. The same blue slate shade was used in the courtyard to create a cohesive look all around.

Kaipātiki Project won a Resene ColorShop voucher through the Resene Colour Your Club competition to use for their community space while their building was being rebuilt. This timelapse shows the volunteers and staff members painting old shipping containers to make them look new and colourful.

“Upcycled shipping containers were the perfect choice for our gardens - they continue the legacy set by our 'living green building' EcoHub which is made to be sustainable on so many levels,” say the team at Kaipātiki Project. “These containers hold all of the tools for our native plant nursery, our community food gardens and compost hub, and for our regeneration work out in the local reserves.

“Thank you to Resene for enabling us to beautify our containers that provide invaluable storage in the middle of our native plant nursery. The designs are inspired by Aotearoa native plants and simplified to uplift our workplace for our passionate volunteers.”

General Manager of Jennian Homes Nelson Bays, Mark, getting out of the office to help with the clean-up and painting of the Nelson Netball Centre court seats in time for the season. The red is Resene Lumbersider tinted to Jennian’s corporate colour ‘Jennian Red’ – that’s right, you can get a custom colour to suit your brand!

Diana from The Friends of Hawera Parks shares what her and her team did with the recycled paint provided from the Resene PaintWise recycling service. A much needed repaint of the shelter in Naumai Park Hawera has allowed it to look new again, as well as blend in with the natural surroundings. Diana says that they regularly use the paint to cover up graffiti and to refresh park benches in parks in Hawera.

Check out the Resene PaintWise service and see how you can recycle leftover paint so it can be used for a good cause.

Adriana and her family built a Dog Library on Easter weekend for all Kiko’s paw friends. They used an array of Resene testpots in the shades Resene Curious Blue, Resene Tulip Tree, Resene Irresistible, Resene Half Smalt Blue, Resene Blanched Pink and Resene Half Amulet. You can find The Dog Library at Miles Lane Reserve Dog Walk in Tauranga!

Even Resene’s smallest helpers know their stuff! Our reader Serena shares a photo of her daughter browsing a Resene Exterior Woodcare colour chart. A DIY project manager in the making!
