22 Feb 2024

We love sharing what our readers and Resene fans have been up to, and this month we have some extremely colourful and creative projects to show off! From rainbow golf to Resene Mexican Red hallways, we’re sure you’ll find some inspiration here.

Shannon wanted to inject some lively shades into her home, and with the help of  Resene Colour Expert Meryl Southey she settled on a red terracotta hue, Resene Mexican Red. Gone are the old aging neutrals, Shannon now has a space filled with colour that will welcome guests when they step in the door.

Gabrielle painted a beautiful mural on a pallet using Resene testpot paints to showcase the vibrant shades of Rangitoto and the turquoise blue harbour. “The pallet has been hanging for a few years and the colours have not faded,” Gabrielle says. “They are all testpot colours and some are mixed. I have always love painting Rangitoto.”

Wellington Girls' College painted a rainbow crossing in their school yard, bringing colour and joy to the students’ learning environment. The rainbow is painted in Resene Get Reddy, Resene Orang-atan, Resene Fizz, Resene Wham, Resene Splish Splash, Resene Gobstopper and Resene Unicorn.

“It looks amazing and we are very, very proud of our mahi,” says Deputy Principal Penny Greenwood.

Our reader Rebecca decided to give her home a much needed refresh. For the exterior plaster she chose Resene Trojan, a complex grey with an undertone of green and brown, and for the front door she chose Resene True Blue, a deep blue with a hint of violet. These two shades complement each other well creating a stunning exterior.

The Lucknow Home & School team have completed their second alleyway upgrade over the last few years. Using an array of brilliant Resene testpot shades, including Resene Sassy, Resene Kingfisher Daisy, Resene Endeavour, Resene Wham, Resene Turbo and Resene Adrenalin, they now have two gorgeous and inviting alleyways that the kids love walking down on their way to and from school. The fence is painted in the bright Californian surf blue of Resene Malibu.

Making golf colourful and fun for families, traditional golf holes were replaced by coloured Resene rainbow umbrellas at the Futures Whakatipu Festival of Golf. This event was held at Queenstown Golf Club to encourage people of all ages to give golf a go. Set up your own golf course in your backyard this summer!
